Always Proud To Be Ordinary

“When everybody wants to be extraordinary, that is very ordinary"

Hi everyone! Welcome to my very first blog post! I am Stephanie Cheung, a year 3 Hong Kong student studying in the School of Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University. I am just a ordinary girl who love travelling, eating, exploring and singing. However, I always believe that being ordinary is not something shameful. I may not be the most outstanding one who always do my job perfectly among my classmates or colleagues, but I think once I put 100% effort on her study and work, I am living up to my own conscience. I firmly believes that as long as I am striving a better life for myself, it is fine to be “ordinary".

I am interested in public relations, campaign planning, advertising & branding as well as social media marketing. Since I want to be an PR and marketing specialist in the future, I am now learning hard and moving forward step by step with my dream. I would like share my study journey with you here!

In the upcoming semester, I set up some goals in the strategic communication class. Though, I have gained some basic knowledge and concepts about strategic communication during the last semester, I am looking forward to go more in depth in it to learn about the media trend as well as the whole process of developing a campaign. I am especially interested in the topic about social media crisis and reputation repairing as I always think dealing with crisis is the most challenging job for PR specialists.

My goal of creating this blog does not only want to share my own learning process, but also want to share what I have learnt in class to people who are interested in public relations. If I am lucky enough to enter the PR industry after my graduation, I will continue the blog and share my life and experience as being a PR. I hope people can gain more understanding of this profession and provide some insights to the youth who want to enter the industry. #PR #Study #Communication #HKBU

By the way, I am recently addicted to a song call “Mind Is A Prison" from Alec Benjamin. So I share it to you here and hope you all like it!
